ZK-GBT is a Hall Cherokee II, high-wing, single seat glider, designed and introduced by Stanley A. Hall in 1956 for home construction. About 100 examples were built in the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. ZK-GBT (c/n G 1) was built in 1959 from a kitset by a syndicate of Auckland Gliding Club members. Registered on 7 October 1960, her first flight was at Ardmore on 25 November 1961.
