Originally allocated to No.3 Bomber Reconnaissance Squadron RNZAF on Guadalcanal in November 1942. Twice in battle with Japanese fighters and whilst damaged managed to return to base on both occasions. Never restored, the aeroplane is currently in a climate controlled jungle diorama hall pending a decision as to whether or not restore to flying condition.
