It's ironic that that this aircraft was painted to depict a military C-47, wearing the faux serial "0795405", displayed outside the 305th Bomb Group Restaurant at SarasotaâBradenton Airport, FL., as it had no military history, being delivered to United Air Lines in 1937 and serving with them until 1954. It was later displayed outside the Air Transport Command Restaurant at New Castle County Airport, DE., but lapsed into dereliction there following its closure and was later donated to the Massey Air Museum at Massey Aerodrome, MD., where it has now been restored to static display condition.
