1946-55 owned by Gp Capt Allen Wheeler, of Shuttleworth Trust fame, and used for air racing. Damaged in a heavy landing at the 1953 Kings Cup Air Race and sent to Vickers-Armstrong for repair. They bought the aircraft in 1955 and restored her to military markings as AB910. 1965 she was presented to the RAF to form part of the Historic Aircraft Flight that became the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight in 1973.
