Image from Lawrence Hole. Cancelled from civil register 1940, impressed into service with the Fleet Air Arm and served with 782 Naval Air Squadron (Northern Communication Squadron) based at RNAS Donibristle (HMS Merlin) in Fife, Scotland. Destroyed 31st March 1943 at approximately 1521hrs after crashing on take off from Donibristle. Petty Officer Frederick Henry Parr (Pilot) and Leading Airman Peter James Murphy (Observer) were killed along with 3x RAAF and 2x RNZAF officers who were flying as passengers on a Ministry of Information tour. n
