KZ VII is a danish designed and built 4-seat airplane with a US built 6-cylinder Continental C-125 or C-145 engine. A total of 56 KZ VIIs were produced between 1946 and 1954. 10 KZ VIIs were delivered to the danish air force in 1948 and were used as trainers, as liaison aircraft and as glider tugs. 2 RDAF KZ VIIs were lost to hangar fires and 1 was scrapped after ditching. The 7 remaining planes were sold to civilian use in 1977. OY-ATI seen in the photo is ex Royal Danish Air Force 63-616, O-616 and was registered as OY-ATI in 1977. It has been repainted in a camouflage colour scheme it wore in the air force in the late 1950s.
