C/n 8001 was only used in the Chester factory. At Woodford it was known as Set 1. First flown 28 June 1968. Subsequently went back and forth between A&AEE Boscombe Down and Woodford on trials. Refurbished and delivered to RAF 203 Squadron 15 January 1973. Later modified to MR2.
