British Airtours Boeing 707-360 landing at Gatwick (runway 80) in 1983. This aircraft type flew alongside the old Comet fleet in the late 1970s and was in turn replaced by the Boeing 737-200 type. British Airtours was a subsidiary inclusive tour holiday airline based at Gatwick and part of British Airways. It was first formed at BEA Airtours with an all Comet fleet prior to the merger of state carriers BEA and BOAC.
