About ten minutes after this aeroplane left Cranfield for Staverton, the pilot heard a loud bang and the aircraft began to vibrate violently. Unaware of the problem, he landed in a field near Milton Keynes. A walk around inspecion revealed that the wind generator between the gear strut fairings had shed a blade. There was onlyone thing for it, so he broke the other blade off and got airborne again. Probably the farmer never even knew of the visit !
