First flown at Chester 16 August 1989. Registered N271X and ferried to Buffalo NY 30 August for installation of LTV-Sierra Research Flight Inspection System. Flown to Little Rock 12 September for interior completion by Arkansas Mod Center, returning to Buffalo 29 September for Flight Inspection System flight trials. Delivered to USAF 24 April 1990.
