Re these dark drab repainted C-47s, Les Vowles recalls them as 'green with yellow lettering '...olive drab particularly the WWII variety could vary tremendously from brown to green even before rapid fading in use. Mike Osborn recalls this as the personal transport of the Base Commander at Lakenheath in that period....olive drab with yellow engine cowlings
