First flown at Chester 5 October 1968. Departed Hatfield after crew training 3 January 1969. Redesignated VU-93 in 1973. Modified to Series 3B/RC 1974. Undershot during flapless landing Brasilia 19-6-79 on training flight. Nose and starboard landing gear collapsed. Caught fire. Crew escaped.
