The serial number looks like ER8875 however Dave Welch has investigated and this is unlikely so we are guessing at ER8675 which is listed for FTS No 4 which is where my grandfather (F W Cook) learnt to fly 1928/9. However the only DH9A I have listed for him is J8100. I mention this because the young man looks astonishingly like my father (which is impossible) so could well be my grandfather. It's the ears. I'd like to understand if this could be ER8675. Location of Abu Sueir is a guess.
