From the photos of Wing Commander F W Cook AFC. This would have been taken when my grandfather was learning to fly in Abu Sueir. There is an entry in his logbook on 9th August 1929 when he flies Vickers Vimy (Jaguar) F8631 for 40 minutes. The comment states that he takes his first passenger. The back of this photograph reads " 'Taffy' Lloyd. The gentleman who first flew with me as a passenger. The one sitting in the side". So though this isn't a plane my grandfather flew, he did fly with one of the men.
