In December 1950, the last squadron of F-51 Mustangs arrived at Air Force Base No. 1, next to Carrasco International Airport - Uruguay. 25 aircraft of this type were purchased in the U.S.A. by the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) and registered from 250 to 274. The aircraft above is ex 44-63615. It is shown on display here marked up as 415569 Miss Kentucky State.
