This aircraft crashed on landing at RAE Thurleigh on 7 January 1982. Both the crew survived the accident. The wings were taken to BAe Dunsfold for stress testing and the fuselage was taken to RAF Abingdon for training purposes and allocated the maintenance serial 8847M.
