CAF de Havilland Canada CC-115 Buffalo - given designation XC-8A by the USAF for Air Cushion Landing Test trials at Yellowknife, NWT in 1975. This aircraft was used in joint Canada - USA trials, in a unique program where the modified Buffalo landed on ice, snow or water with an inflatable rubber air cushion under the belly and wing floats.
