Believed to be the only original Fokker-built D.VII extant. It was one of 142 examples sent to the USA after World War I for the US Air Service. It was used in several movies, including Hells Angels. It was subsequently rebuilt as a two-seater with a 200hp Hall-Scott engine, bearing the early US civil registration NC1178 and serial WR-X2. It was acquired by the (then) National Aviation Museum in 1971. The engine is from D.VII 6849/18 which was one of the 22 D.VIIs shipped to Canada in 1919. 6849/18 was donated to the University of Manitoba. The restoration of 10347/18 was undertaken by The Vintage Aviator in New Zealand.
