This Spitfire has an amazing provenance with it starring in the movie Battle of Britain in the 1960's; interestingly it was flown by an American pilot called Wilson 'Connie' Edwards in the movie. The aircraft was actually given to Edwards in lieu of payment for the flying in the movie. It actually only flew some 36 hours after this in the USA before being stored in 1973 for years in a barn by Edwards in Texas. Its being restored from the ground upwards by Pays Aviation Service to flying status and will be flown in the 2020 warbirds season.
