CF-EAR is a bogus registration. It is actually CF-ZQG which is ex RCAF 1525 and from July 1967 5184. It was towed from the Whitey Hostetler base at Red Lake to Ear Falls on its main wheels minus its wings with the tail wheel attached to a pickup truck 12 March 1984. Originally displayed on the ground still in its RCAF livery with the military titles blacked out but with 5184 still visible on the tail. The registration CF-ZQG had been crudely applied with a freehand aerosol. It is situated next to the main road to Red Lake. The move was undertaken by Robert W Arnold on behalf of the Western Canada Aviation Museum in Winnipeg as they were getting a derelict Junkers W34 in exchange!
