During a night landing at Al Asad AB, Iraq on 17/7/06 no. 2 engine was unable to reduce power and a faster than normal taxi occurred. As a result of heavy braking a fire developed in one wheel well and caused extensive damage. The 56 passengers plus crew all escaped unhurt, the airframe was not repaired and remained at the airfield for ground instructional use.
