This picture was taken by my late father-in-law, David Roy MacFarlane. He was working for De Havilland at the time and lived in Hatfield. He moved to Australia in 1972 and died here in 2016. I am the executor for his estate and my job is to go through his negatives. He took a LOT of pictures of planes! Year a guess but prior to 1953 when it was converted for the attempt on the World Speed Record.
