Per Rod Simpson - In 1966 IMCO flew the Callair B-1 and then put this model into production alongside the A-9. It was a scaled-up A-9 with metal wings and a hopper capacity of 300 U.S. gallons - almost double that of the smaller aircraft. Later that year, they sold the type certificate, rights, tooling and operations to Rockwell Standard Corporation who continued to build both models at the Afton, Wyoming factory. The B-1 was later re-engined with a Pratt & Whitney R-985 radial engine to become the "Snipe Commander". Few of these were built and the B-1 type certificate was subsequently sold to SL Industries of Oklahoma City. There were 36 B-1s built in total. This one had been SE-EWA and exported to Ethiopia later in 1969.
