This CF-5A was the first single seater that was accepted. It was first flown by Capt Jake Miller on Oct 27, 1969 under directive of Col. O.B. Philp 434 Bluenose Squadron Cold Lake. This aircraft was declared historic. Capt. Miller has flown this particular jet 58 times, including day one Open Challenge 1970, 2 airshows, 5 practices, his last flight Nov. 24, 1977.
