I have no recollection why the wing has been loaded with sandbags! From March 1979 this aircraft was owned by Worksop Aircraft Sales Partnership (WASP) Ltd and based at Gamston Airport near Retford in Nottinghamshire. In 1980 it was leased by Judith Chisholm, and was used as she became the fastest woman to fly around the world solo. The aircraft was destroyed by fire around 1984 after it burst into flames upon takeoff. Fortunately no-one was injured. Judith died of cancer in 1988.
