A rare example of a Wright Cyclone R1820 powered Dak, N400MF returned to the skies a couple of weeks after this picture was taken after sitting inactive for roughly a year. Originally built in 1944 as an R4D for the U.S. Navy, it was converted to a DC-3 G202-A for civilian life in the 1950s. Missionary Flights International purchased the airplane and it's sister craft N300MF and had flown them for many years. As part of MFI's plan to upgrade to all Turbine powered DC-3s, they sold off N400MF to Kingdom Air Corps. of Alaska in 2015.
