Carries the name gen. bryg. pil. Witold Urbanowicz (1908-1996). Urbanowicz was the second highest-scoring Polish fighter pilot with 17 confirmed kills and one probable. A former commander of the 1st Polish Fighter Wing at RAF Northolt he went on to fly with the USAAF in China.
