D-FWME was built in Spain as a Hispano HA-1112M-1L Buchon in 1950. It served with Spanish Air Force as C.4K-75. Decommissioned December 1965 and stored, it was sold to UK in 1968 and registered as G-AWHH and starred in the movie "Battle of Britain" as "yellow 11" and "red 14". After several owners it was brought to Germany and restored to flying condition with a DB-605 engine in 1997. In 2007 EADS took the ownership.
