Registered in 1971 and used for various trials on Lake Ontario. Intense interest from the USN led to a large order as the LACV-30. This picture is taken at a Lakeshore Airport where it was used for trials as a aircraft crash rescue craft among other duties. Hovercraft were in use as such for many years at Vancouver Airport and one still acts as a Gate Guard at the Coast Guard Base there.
