Manufactured 1982 at the home factory of the An-26s, #473 Kiev-Svyatoshino, as CCCP-12706. Registered February 1 1983 as CCCP-26094 for Ministry of Aviation Industry (Minaviaprom – MAP). First noted September 11 1987 in Leningrad (now: St. Petersburg) appearing in basic Aeroflot livery. First logged as UR-26094 June 16 1993 in Kiev with this interim livery, in service of Artem-Avia. Shown here parking in front of the HQ of the airport fire department. Please note the cargo hatchway slid horizontally under the rear belly of the plane – known as a special Antonov invention – enabling forklifts to load / unload smoothly, and ideal for paradropping as well. The plane reportedly at TTM and at Ivan Air Cargo, both in 1997. Scanned from an old slide.
