First flight April 16 1982. Delivered Pan Am May 26 1982 as N370PA. WFU and stored with the bankruptcy of the operator December 1991. Express One International bought December 31 1992. Then to Aeron Aviation Resources Inc. April 3 1996, where Sun Pacific leased back between April 27 and March 1998. Wren Equipment Finance Ltd. bought June 1 1998 and re-leased to Sun Pacific until March 30 1999. WFU again and stored Miami, Florida March 1999. Not sure, but maybe this was the time a/c hushkitted and re-engined with PW JT8D-17 (DUG-3) engines, meeting Stage III noise requirements. With this, the designation of the type has changed to Boeing 727-221Adv.(RE) Super 27(QWS). AeroSur of Bolivia leased as CP-2385 between March 28 2000 and April 25 2001. Back to wren with N370PA and went to Freedom Air Services of Nigeria as 5N-BFY. Finally Ariana â Afghan Airlines bought as YA-FAT March 8 2008.
