Originally An-12BK, which is an An-12B with upgraded (complex, or Kompleks – in Russian) avionics, increased 30t payload, the widened cargo door of the An-12BP and a TG-16M APU. The type was requested by the Military Transport Aviation Command of the Soviet Union (VTA). You won't believe, it's a much younger plane, than it shows. October 19 1992 registered as RA-11321 at Special Cargo Airlines of Russia. Seen as Avimi Air December 16 1993 in Sharjah, and Special Cargo Airlines again May 9 1994 in Dubai, UAE. Registered Air Cess December 18 1995 as EL-AKR, but seen August 1996 as Pamir Air (YA-PAA) in Sharjah. Last seen active April 7 2002 in basic Special Air Cargo livery as 00406 in Kabul.
