First flight July 29 1993, delivered British Airways September 2 as G-BVBY. April 28 1994 on lease EuroBelgian Airlines (EBA) as OO-LTQ. Sir Richard Branson – Chairman of Virgin Group at that time – bought out and rebranded EBA, which became the base of Virgin Express. Meanwhile February 1 1996, a/c to Air Provence with the same Belgian registration. October 15 1996 back to British Airways as G-DOCY. What we see here is a result of a slight ATC mishap. After FR306 (EI-DHO) from Stansted has landed and BA2652 (G-DOCY) from Gatwick was on final approach to threshold 15, FR306 was halted on taxiway Echo, enabling Jet2holidays (G-GDFO) and Air Lazur (LZ-YUR) to line up at the opposite end (threshold 33) on Salzburg's sole runway. However FR was let taxiing in, if any case should BA not be able to decelerate until reaching taxiway E, she could have easily find herself face-to-face, close encountering with the previously lined up flights. This is why BA a/c was sent to go around, which was very spectacularly accomplished in a low altitude, with landing gears extended. What you see here is the closure of the circle, as BA is on short final moments before touchdown.
