The FG-1D-variant is a F4U-1D produced by Goodyear. Delivered to US Navy as Bu. 88391, to RNZAF as NZ5648, surplus from here 1949. Restored to taxy condition 1962-1963, exported to Canada 1971, restored to flying consition and registered N55JP 1982. Shipped to UK April 1989, registered G-BXUL. To New Zealand 2005 with registration ZK-COR. After restoration the plane will return to the air at Wings Over Wairarapa 2023.
