This Lancaster visited the RAF Cottesmore BoB Display in 1962. It was struck off charge in Sep 1964 and mounted on a pole in Toronto along the Lake Shore where it suffered from vandalism over the years. It was rescued in 1999 by the Canadian Air and Space Museum. Volunteers had made great progress in restoring the aircraft until the Museum was closed in 2011. The date of the image is a guess that it was taken shortly before its retirement.
