Photographed arriving at RIAT 2013, this Jetstream is used by BAE Systems as an aerial laboratory. It has been used recently to develop technologies used in Uninhabitited Air Vehicles (UAVs). In the rear of the aircraft are racks of computers and control systems, together with satellite communications allowing it to fly as if it were a UAV without any intervention from the pilots. She's also been trialling technologies under the ASTRAAEA programme, including the worlds's first autonomous weather avoidance system, 'sense and avoid' technologies and an autonomous emergency landing system.
