The Ryan Type 28 Fireball was powered by a 1350 h.p. Wright R-1820 and a 1600 lbs thrust GE J-31 for dash to target. This example served NACA at the Ames Laboratory at Moffett Field - hence the large 'TEST' markings. Bought by Ed Maloney in 1967 and later restored at Chino.
