Later involved with the RAF Museum as part of a swap. Sold to the USA in 1992. Took up registration N2289J and now (2014) rumored to be sold back to Europe as a restoration project. From a correspondent - In 1973, the undercarriage mounting pintles were removed to repair the undercarriage of Spitfire AB910, which had had a landing accident in September 1972 at RAF Coltishall. The work was carried out by members of BBMF, including myself. NDT had confirmed those on AB910 were cracked.
