Sadly the days are numbered for this tri-jet as KLM continues phasing the type out. The last of KLM's ten MD11s are expected to retire by the end of 2014, this will mean the end of scheduled airline service for the type, leaving just a few in service with cargo and charter operators. Six out of the ten remain in service as of March 2013, this one was delivered to KLM on the 1st March 1994.
