Taken in the static display at the RAF Chivenor Air Day, surprisingly this is the first photograph of this JP in the database. She was delivered to the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell on the 29th September 1971 coded '87'. She was returned to BAC at Warton on the 15th October 1975 for conversion to T5A standard. She was then issued to 1 FTS at RAF Linton-on-Ouse on the 28 January 1976. Transferred to 7 FTS at RAF Church Fenton on the 4th February 1980, she remained with that unit until moving to 6 FTS at RAF Finningley on the 3rd April 1986 eventually coded M/121. Her flying career with the RAF came to an end on the 5th December 1988 when she was placed into storage at RAF Shawbury. I wonder how many fledgling RAF pilots and navigators cut their teeth on this aircraft during that time? She was put up for tender on the 19th November 1993 before being sold to Global Aviation, Binbrook on the 26th May 1995. She then passed to Everett Aero, Sproughton, Suffolk in September 1995. She was exported to Marietta, Georgia, USA in March 1996 becoming N372JP. She was re-registered as N399PS on the 26th March 2001 and based at Cheraw, South Carolina.
