Taken aboard the RN frigate St. Albans outside Hvalfjordur (Whale Bay)in Iceland, but this is where almost all of the convoys to and from Russia originated during WW2. The frigate was on a wreath laying mission to commemorate the 70 year anniversary of the start of those convoys, and had a number of ambassadors of the allied nations aboard for the memorial. Here the Merlin takes off from the helipad for a rescue practice with the new ICG cutter, Ãór (Thor)
