Update: prior to completion of its restoration, Richard Probert (Jr.) re-registered this aircraft as N329 in honor of the first N329 (c/n B-119) with which his dad (Dick Probert) had started Avalon Air Transport in 1953. Richard Probert died in a car accident in October(?) 2007 before the restoration of B-140 was completed. (His dad, Dick, died 7 months later in May 2008 at age 101.) After it was finally completed by Auggie Swanson, it was sold to the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, CA and it is on display there now.
