"Adriaan van Ostade" on arrival from Dublin on the through schedule to Schiphol. Visible is the northerly of three octagonal 1938-built Chance floodlights. The three sides facing the then all- grass airfield were clear glazed. Two were switched on to illuminate the landing area for approaching pilots. They were not used after early wartime.
