Built in 1931. Ex NC11417. Originally built as the second C-1 (the first being lost in a hangar fire at Aeronca) and registered X-11417, then issued an Unlicensed Identification Mark 11417 before type certificate approval when it became NC-11417. When the C-1 was abandoned by Aeronca it was fitted with a standard C-2 wing and the E-113 engine recovered from the prototype C-1 and was re-certified as a C-2N. It was stored from 1936 to 1962 when it was restored by Warren Williams as N-11417.
