"Miss Hobart" was the seoond DH.86 to be built and one of only four single-seat cockpit variants. Delivered by sea to Australia and erected at RAAF Laverton. Operated Holyman's Tasmania-Essendon schedules from 03.10.34 but ditched in the Bass Straight 19.10.34 with the loss of the 12 persons aboard. Wreckage not found. From ANA 60 years ago.
