This 1977 built Lama was an unusual visitor to Helitech 2011. The Lama was developed to meet the operational requirements of the Indian Armed Forces. In order to operate in 'hot and high' conditions the helicopter combined the airframe from the Alouette II with the engine from the Alouette III.
