A Manchester 1 stands at centre with its Vultures removed for rectification work. A Hawker Hector with four bladed propellor is at left, operated as a glider tug for the based Central Landing Establishment. A Hotspur of the CLE is landing after a demo for Winston Churchill. The fuel pumps are sandbagged aginst enemy attack. Obtained from Manchester Airport over 40 years ago.
