Arrived at Duxford 6/99 via Mildenhall. This aircraft was used post-war by Wright Aeronautical Development Center for ice research. It was later modified by the Aeronautical Research Laboratory to test the de-icing capabilities of the Boeing B-47 wing, redesignated EZB-24M, and given the name The Blasted Event. Now displayed in the American Air Museum painted as 450493 Dugan, in 578th BS/392nd BG markings.
