Accepted by the US Navy in March 1942 this Kingfisher was first assigned to the battleship USS Indiana. Rescued two airmen shot down over Guam in 1944, for which pilot Lt (JG) Rollin M Batten Jnr won a Navy Cross. To the NASM in October 1960.
