Owned by Rent-A-Plane, at the time, and shortly after registered to Bristol and Wessex Aeroplane Club, for a number of years, so perhaps they were giving it a trial run. From a correspondent - I had the pleasure of flying G-ARDS many time including a trip to Paris Air Show in the period 2nd June to 6th June 1976. Popular aircraft and first Tri-cycle undercarriage operated by Bristol & Wessex Flying Club, a great leap forward in their fleet. Regrettably it was writen off in a landing accident on at Leconfield) near Beverley in 2021. ref. AAIB Publication.
